Perfection

Consistency Beats Perfection Every Time

Perfect Right?

Ever had the perfect day, week or even the perfect month where you’ve nailed your training, you’ve planned your meals and avoided any luxuries like that glass of wine or a bit of chocolate?

Well if you’ll let me I’ll quickly explain why perfect might not be best.

Being perfect often comes with sacrifices in other areas. Sacrificing social life, sacrificing the enjoyment some food should bring.

Now will you be happy to keep sacrificing those things for the rest of your life?

If you’ve answered no like me, then why on earth are you starting with perfection in mind. Unfortunately you’re setting yourself up for a fall…..whether it’s in 1 day, 1 week or 1 year.

In the real world i’d choose consistency over perfection any day of the week. Consistently good (not ‘perfect’) training and nutrition done consistently reigns supreme to perfect training done inconsistently.

The best diet in the world is the one you can stick to.

The best training program in the world is the one you can stick to and see all the way through.

Consistency is unspectacular, it’s having a few pints, it’s having a nice dessert. It’s then continuing on consistently with your training.

Bottom line consistency is king.
